Final Exam Time is Getting Close!!!

You should be getting ready for your final exam. The exam will be worth 100 points and therefore can still have a big impact (hopefully positive) on your semester grade. The test will be taken during class on Monday, May 16th and Tuesday, May 17th.

Here is some good advice on how you can get ready for your test:

Make sure to take the practice final exam which can be found by going to the following web address:

http://www.quia.com/quiz/1212239.html

You may take the exam as many times as you like. Take it until you get a 100%. Doing this will definitely help to prepare you for your final exam.

If you notice a specific topic giving you some trouble, be sure to stop in and get some help from your teacher.

Excel Unit Reflection

So what does it all mean? How useful did you find the Excel unit in Info Tech? Answer the following questions to help your instructor determine whether or not you got the "big picture":

1. What in your opinion were some of the most important tasks you learned how to perform within Excel? Explain why you think each item is important.

2. What are some ways you could see yourself using Microsoft Excel in your everyday life?

3. Why would any successful company want their employees to have access to and use Microsoft Excel?

When looking at the Quia portion of the Excel Test, I have never had students perform as well as you did this semester. Yes, maybe one or two of you could have done a little better, but at least 90% of the class received an 80% or higher on the test. I want to know what you feel allowed you to be so successful during this unit, including the test. I am especially interested to know if you feel any specific activities or situations where you were allowed to pair up or get into small groups led to your excellent performance. Basically, I need your help to let me know if there is anything in particular I need to keep doing so that my future Info Tech I classes perform as well as you did.
